HOOKAH IN GILDED SILVER

A LARGE HIGHLY DECORATIVE HOOKAH IN GILDED SILVER, PROBABLY MURSHIDABAD (BENGAL), possibly 18th century, with three winged apsaras bearing the hookah pot on their heads, with elaborate floral motifs on the bottom and middle tanks, with ornate floral filigree work on the top lidded container, topped with a male head as a knob, tasseled with metal chains and fish-form danglers and an extraordinarily long pipe with an elephant face.
